Disabling Hardware Acceleration

SMART Recorder and SMART Video Player constantly take screen captures as you record. Some operating systems take screen captures very slowly and this can affect recording quality. To improve recording quality, disable hardware acceleration or upgrade your video driver and video card.

The procedure below applies to most Windows operating systems.

To disable hardware acceleration

  1. Open the Windows operating system's Control Panel.

  1. Double-press Display.

The Display Properties dialogue box appears.

  1. Press the Settings tab.

  2. Press the Advanced button.

  3. Press the Troubleshoot tab.

  4. Drag the Hardware Acceleration slider to None.

  5. Press OK.

  6. Restart your computer.
