Opening the Magnifier Using Floating Tools

You can use the Magic Pen tool in the Floating Tools toolbar to open the Magnifier.

NOTES

The Magic Pen button isn't included in the default Floating Tools toolbar. However, you can customise the Floating Tools toolbar by adding and removing tools. For the following steps, the Floating Tools toolbar must include a Magic Pen button.

You can also use the Magic Pen tool to open the Spotlight.

You can create a magnification window when you view a page of a .notebook file.

To use the Magnifier

  1. Press Magic Pen FTMagicPen.pngin the Floating Tools toolbar and then select an available digital ink style.

  2. Draw a square on the interactive screen.

The Magnifier dialogue box appears. The Magnifier dialogue box displays a magnified image of a portion of the screen.

  1. To display a red border around the area displayed in the Magnifier dialogue box, press Magnifier4.png. To shade everything outside of this area, press Magnifier5.png.

  2. To magnify a different area of the screen:

  3. Press Magnifier1.png and then drag the hand MagnifierHand.png in the Magnifier dialogue box to another area of the screen. Use this option if you want to magnify one area of the screen whilst continuing to work in other parts of the screen.

OR

  1. Press Magnifier2.png and then press the area of the screen that you want to magnify. Use this option if you want to magnify the area of the screen that you are working in.

  2. To move the Magnifier dialogue box, press its title bar and then drag it to another area of the screen.

To remove the Magnifier

Press Close Exit.pngin the Magnifier dialogue box.
