Navigating this documentation

This documentation includes several features you can use to find the information you need.

Searching this documentation

You can use the Search box to search for words or phrases in this documentation. Depending on the size of your browser window, the Search box is located in the top-right corner or at the top of the navigation pane (press Show NavigationShow Navigation icon to view the navigation pane).

Type the word or phrase you want to search for in the Search box, and then press Search. Links to all pages in the documentation containing the word or phrase appear. Press the link for the page you want to view.

Tips 

Tip 

You can include partial words in your search criteria. For example, if you search for “note,” the search results include pages that contain the word “note” as well as pages that contain words that start or end with “note.”

When you open a page from the search results, all occurrences of the word or phrase you searched for are highlighted. You can remove this highlighting by pressing Remove HighlightRemove Highlight icon.

Browsing this documentation

As an alternative to searching this documentation, you can browse it using the Contents and Index tabs. The Contents and Index tabs appear in the navigation pane on the left side of the browser window. Depending on the size of your browser window, you might need to press Show NavigationShow Navigation icon to view the navigation pane.

In addition to using the Contents and Index tabs, you can browse to specific pages by doing the following:

As an alternative to searching this documentation, you can browse it using the Contents tab. The Contents tab appears in the navigation pane on the left side of the browser window. Depending on the size of your browser window, you might need to press Show NavigationShow Navigation icon to view the navigation pane.

In addition to using the Contents tab, you can browse to specific pages by doing the following:

Procedure

The previously viewed page

Press BackBack icon.

Note 

To return to the current page from the previously viewed page, press ForwardForward icon.

One of the current page’s parent pages

Press one of the breadcrumb links above the current page’s title.

One of the current page’s child pages

Press Show Page NavigationShow Page Navigation icon, and then press one of the child page’s links.

Scroll to the bottom of the page, and then press one of the child page’s links.

One of the current page’s sibling pages or another related page

Press Show Page NavigationShow Page Navigation icon, and then press one of the sibling or related page’s links.

Scroll to the bottom of the page, and then press one of the sibling or related page’s links.

The next or previous page in the table of contents

Press Show Page NavigationShow Page Navigation icon, and then press Next TopicNext Topic icon or Previous TopicPrevious Topic icon.

Scroll to the bottom of the page, and then press Next TopicNext Topic icon or Previous TopicPrevious Topic icon.

Browsing individual pages

To reduce scrolling, some content on pages is hidden by default. You can view hidden content by pressing its linked heading.

Example 

To view all hidden content on a page, press Expand AllExpand All icon.

If you want to return to the top of a page, press Top of PageTop of Page icon.

Bookmarking and sharing pages

You can add a page to your browser’s favorites or bookmarks or share it with others through email or social media services such as Facebook.

To bookmark or share a page, press ShareShare icon, and then select an option.

Printing pages

To print a page, press PrintPrint icon.
