Taking Screen Captures Using Floating Tools

You can use the Area Capture, Full Screen Capture or Freehand Capture tools in the Floating Tools toolbar to take a screen capture and automatically insert it on a page in a .notebook file.

NOTES

The Area Capture, Full Screen Capture and Freehand Capture buttons aren't included in the default Floating Tools toolbar. However, you can customize the Floating Tools toolbar by adding and removing tools.

You can also take screen captures using the Screen Capture toolbar.

To take a screen capture of an area using Floating Tools

  1. Press Area Capture in the Floating Tools toolbar.

The pointer changes to cross hairs.

  1. Press and drag the cross hairs on the screen to define the area you want to capture.

To take a screen capture of the entire screen using Floating Tools

Press Full Screen Capture in the Floating Tools toolbar.

To take a screen capture of a freehand area using Floating Tools

  1. Press Freehand Capture in the Floating Tools toolbar.

The pointer changes to cross hairs.

  1. Press and drag the cross hairs on the screen to define the area you want to capture.
