Instant Conferencing and SMART Bridgit Software

SMART Bridgit software is a client/server program that lets you share information with anyone, anywhere in the world.

NOTE: For more information on installing, configuring and using SMART Bridgit software, see the SMART Bridgit software product documentation.

To create a SMART Bridgit software meeting

  1. Press the SMART Board icon in the notification area, and then select Instant Conferencing.

    NOTE: If your computer isn’t currently connected to a SMART interactive product, the SMART Board icon has an X in its bottom right corner .

    The Instant Conferencing Using SMART Bridgit window appears.

  2. Press Share SMART Board.

    The SMART Bridgit Software window appears.

    NOTES

    • If your computer isn’t connected an interactive whiteboard or a SMART Bridgit Server, the Share SMART Board button is labeled Share My Desktop.

    • SMART Bridgit software automatically assigns a name and password to your meeting.

  3. Press Create New Meeting.

    The Invite Participant dialog box appears.

  4. Press E-mail.

    An e-mail message appears.

  5. Type the e-mail addresses of the people you want to invite to your meeting in the To box, and then press Send.

To join a meeting

  1. Press the SMART Board icon in the notification area, and then select Instant Conferencing.

    NOTE: If your computer isn’t connected to a SMART interactive product, the SMART Board icon has an X in its bottom right corner .

    The Instant Conferencing Using SMART Bridgit window appears.

  2. Press Join a Conference.

    The SMART Bridgit Software window appears.

  3. Select the meeting you want to join, and then press Join Meeting.

To configure conference settings

  1. Press the SMART Board icon in the notification area, and then select Instant Conferencing.

    NOTE: If your computer isn’t connected to a SMART interactive product, the SMART Board icon has an X in its bottom right corner .

    The Instant Conferencing Using SMART Bridgit window appears.

  2. Press Configure Conferencing Settings.

    The Automatic Update dialog box appears.

  3. Type the name of the SMART Bridgit Server you want to connect to in the Server name box, and then press .

  4. If you connected to a SMART Bridgit Server on your company’s network (for example, bridgit.example.com), type the password for creating meetings in the Creation password box.

  5. Press OK.
