Customizing the Floating Tools toolbar

You can customize the Floating Tools toolbar so that it includes the tools you use most frequently.

Note

If you’re using a SMART Board D600 series interactive whiteboard in Dual-User mode and you customize a Floating Tools toolbar, tools that are inappropriate for Dual-User mode are unavailable. Also, any changes you make to a Dual-User mode Floating Tools toolbar don’t affect the Single-User mode Floating Tools toolbar.

To customize the Floating Tools toolbar

  1. Press Customize in the Floating Tools toolbar.

The Customize Floating Tools dialog box appears.

  2. Do the following:

    • To add a button to the toolbar, press an icon in the Customize Floating Tools dialog box, and then drag it to the Floating Tools toolbar.

      Note

You can add more than one Pen, Magic Pen, Shape Pen or Highlighter icon to the Floating Tools and then customize each icon with different properties, for example, multiple Pen icons with different digital ink styles.

    • To remove a button from the toolbar, press its icon in the Floating Tools toolbar, and then drag it outside of the toolbar.

    • To rearrange the buttons, press an icon in the Floating Tools toolbar, and then drag it to a new position in the toolbar.

    • To add a column, press the + button.

    • To remove a column, press the - button.

      Note

The Floating Tools toolbar removes the column that is furthest to the right. It also removes the icons you’ve added to that column.
