Using the Screen Capture toolbar

The Screen Capture toolbar appears on top of active programs. It enables you to take a screen capture of an image in any window.

ClosedTo open the Screen Capture toolbar

  1. Press the SMART Board iconSMART Board icon in the notification area, and then select Screen Capture Toolbar.

    Note 

    If your computer isn’t currently connected to an interactive product, the SMART Board icon includes an X in its lower-right cornerSMART Board icon with X.

  2. Press one of the following buttons:

    Area Capture icon

    Capture a rectangular area.

    Window Capture icon

    Capture a window.

    Full Screen Capture icon

    Capture an entire screen.

    Freehand Capture icon

    Capture a freehand area.

  3. Select the area, window or screen you want to capture.

    If you’ve already selected a default action for screen captures, the screen capture is saved accordingly.

    OR

    If you haven’t already selected a default action for screen captures, the Capture window opens. This window displays a thumbnail of the screen capture and a button for the last action you selected.

  4. Press the last action’s button.

    OR

    Press Do something else, and then select another action.
