Changing Pen Settings

You can write notes in digital ink on your interactive screen. You can change SMART hardware settings to customise the behaviour of your SMART product, including the line colour, width, end style, thickness and transparency of the digital ink for each pen (on interactive whiteboards) or pen tool button (on interactive pen displays).

To change pen or pen tool button settings

1. Open the SMART control panel.

2. Press SMART Hardware Settings.

The upper area of the SMART control panel displays an image of the SMART product or products connected to the computer.

3. Press the image of the product with the settings that you want to change.

4. Select Pen and Button Settings in the list.

5. Press the button for the pen that you want to customise.

The Properties dialogue box appears.

6. Press Fill Effects.

7. Adjust the transparency.

8. Press Line Style.

9. Adjust the line colour, thickness, start, end and style.

10. Press Save Tool Properties to save your settings.

11. Optionally, repeat steps 5 through 10 to customise other pens or pen tool buttons.

12. Press OK to close the SMART control panel.
