Press Select 
in the Floating Tools toolbar.
Press the interactive screen to perform a left click.

You can use the Select tool in the Floating Tools toolbar to select (left-click).
NOTE: Press the Select button after using pen or drawing tools. Otherwise, SMART Notebook interprets your actions as pen strokes.
