Inserting Regular Polygons




In addition to creating shapes using the Shapes tool, you can insert regular polygons with between 3 and 15 sides using the Regular Polygon tool.

NOTE: The Regular Polygons button is not included in the default SMART Notebook toolbar. However, you can customise the SMART Notebook toolbar by adding and removing tools. If you install SMART Notebook Maths Tools on your computer, the Regular Polygons button appears on the Maths toolbar.




To add the Regular Polygon tool to the SMART Notebook toolbar

  1. Right-click the SMART Notebook toolbar.




The Customise Toolbar dialogue box appears.

  1. Press Regular Polygons IconRegularPolygons.pngin the Customise Toolbar dialogue box and then drag it to the SMART Notebook toolbar.

  2. Press Done.




To insert regular polygons

  1. Press Regular Polygons IconRegularPolygons.png and then select the number of sides (the number in the polygon represents the number of sides).

  1. Create a shape by pressing where you want to place the shape and dragging until the shape is the size that you want.

  1. To customise the shape, select the shape and then edit its properties.
