Reducing the Screen Resolution and Display Colours

If your system performance slows down when you use SMART Recorder, or the recording quality isn't as good as you want, you can reduce your computer's screen resolution and display colours. Smaller screens and fewer colours result in faster performance.

The procedure below applies to most Windows operating systems.

To reduce the screen resolution and display colours

1. Open the Windows operating system's Control Panel.

2. Double-press Display.

The Display Properties dialogue box appears.

3. Press the Settings tab.

4. Select a lower setting in the Colours or Colour Quality list.

5. Drag the Screen Resolution slider to a lower setting.

6. Press OK.
