Troubleshooting Connections

The SMART Notebook control panel includes a connection wizard for troubleshooting problems with the connection between your computer and your SMART product.

For example, you may need to manually configure a serial port in the following situations:

• Your operating system does not support plug and play.

• The Found New Hardware wizard doesn't appear.

• You connected your interactive whiteboard to a power source after you started your computer.

• The Ready Light remains red after you start SMART tools.

To troubleshoot connections

1. Open the SMART Notebook control panel.

2. Press Connection Wizard.

3. Follow the on-screen instructions.
