Changing pen, eraser and button settings
You can write and erase notes in digital ink on your interactive product’s screen using the pen tray pens and eraser (on interactive whiteboards, interactive overlays and interactive flat panels) or the pen tool (on interactive pen displays). You can change the following settings for these tools:

The line color, width, end style, thickness and transparency of digital ink

The size of the eraser
-
The two pen tray buttons (for interactive whiteboards)

Some pen tool and function buttons (for interactive pen displays)
Note
These settings aren’t available for LightRaise projectors.
Changing settings for interactive whiteboards, interactive overlays and interactive flat panels
To change pen settings

Control-click the Board Tools icon in the Dock, and then select .
Note
If your computer isn’t currently connected to an interactive product, the Board Tools icon includes an X in its lower-right corner.

Press SMART Hardware Settings.
If your computer is connected to more than one interactive product, the upper area of the SMART Settings window displays an image for each interactive product. Press the image of the interactive product you want to change settings for.

Select Pen and Button Settings in the drop-down list.

Press the button for the pen you want to customize.
The Properties dialog box appears.

Press Line Style.
-
Adjust the color, thickness, line end and line style.

Press Fill Effects.

Adjust the transparency.
-
Press Save Tool Properties to save your settings.

Repeat steps 4 through 9 if you want to customize other pens.

Press OK to close the SMART Settings window.
To change eraser settings

Using calligraphic ink
Calligraphic ink smoothes your handwriting, making it easier to read on screen.
