Adding a Link to an Object

You can link any object on a page to a Web page, another page in the file, a file on your computer, or an attachment. An attachment is a copy of a file, a shortcut to a file or a link to a Web page that you add to the Attachments tab.

NOTE: You can display animated link indicators around all links on a page.

To add a link to an object

  1. Select the object.

  2. Press the object's menu arrow, and then select Link.

A dialog box appears.

  1. To add a Web page link, select Web Page in the Link to list, and then type the Web address in the Address box.

OR

To add a link to another page in the file, select Page in this File in the Link to list, and then select an option in the Select a page area.

OR

To add a link to a file on your computer, select File on this Computer in the Link to list, and then type the file's location and name in the File box. Select Copy of file to attach a copy to your .notebook file or select Alias to insert a shortcut on the page.

OR

To add a link to an attachment, select Current Attachments in the Link to list, and then select the attachment in the list.

  1. If you want to open the link by pressing an icon, select Corner Icon.

OR

If you want to open the link by pressing anywhere in the object, select Object.

  1. Press Insert Link.

If you selected Corner Icon, one of the following icons appears in the lower left corner of the object:

To remove a link from an object

  1. Select the object.

  2. Press the object's menu arrow, and then select Link.

A dialog box appears.

  1. Press Remove Link.
