Changing the axis of your interactive product

Important 

Complete the procedure below only if asked to do so by SMART Support.

If your interactive product uses DViT technology, you can edit SMART hardware settings to change its axis. When you change the axis, the orientation of your interactive product changes from horizontal (landscape) to vertical (portrait) mode and vice versa.

Notes 

  • You may also need screen-rotation software to rotate the portrait image so that it fits correctly on the screen.

  • These settings aren’t available for LightRaise projectors.

To change the axis

  1. Press the SMART Board iconSMART Board icon in the notification area, and then select SMART Settings.

    Note 

    If your computer isn’t currently connected to an interactive product, the SMART Board icon includes an X in its lower-right cornerSMART Board icon with X.

  2. Press SMART Hardware Settings.

    If your computer is connected to more than one interactive product, the upper area of the SMART Settings window displays an image for each interactive product. Press the image of the interactive product you want to change settings for.

  3. Select Advanced Settings in the drop-down list.

  4. Select an axis setting in the Board Axis Settings area.

  5. Press OK to close the SMART Settings window.
