Using the SMART kapp add-on

The SMART kapp add-on is a stand alone application that lets you interact with kapp inputs in SMART Notebook software.

Note 

SMART kapp hardware and SMART Notebook collaborative learning software with SMART kapp add-on software for a compatible device is required to use the SMART kapp Notebook add-on. Visit www.smarttech.com for information on how to obtain the add-on.

ClosedTo use the SMART kapp add-on in SMART Notebook

  1. After installing the SMART kapp add-on, it will appear in the Add-on pane. Click the SMART kapp icon .

    The SMART kapp add-on opens.

  2. Enter the SMART kapp session ID generated by the SMART kapp app on the mobile device connected to your kapp board.

  3. Press Connect.

    The SMART kapp session connects, and the SMART kapp Board view window appears.

  4. Press Open Board View.

    The live digital ink contents of the connected SMART kapp board view will be visible. If nothing has been written on the board, a Nothing on SMART kapp board yet message will display.

  5. Write your kapp board and digital ink will appear in the add-on window. You can also erase content as required.

  6. In the kapp add-on window, scroll with the playback control to move back and forth in the inking session.

    Press Ink to this page or Ink to new page to insert ink into SMART Notebook.

  7. Dismiss the add-on window to resume using SMART Notebook.
