Note
There are no configurable settings for SMART Board E70 and 4000 series interactive flat panels.
To open SMART hardware settings
You can change the pen, eraser and button settings for your SMART interactive product.
You can change the precision of the orientation procedure. If you’re using an application that requires precise control, you can select a precise orientation. However, if you want to configure the SMART interactive product as quickly as possible, you can select a quicker orientation process.
If you don’t have a projector for your SMART Board 600 series interactive whiteboard, you can use your interactive whiteboard in Non-Projected mode. You can write on the interactive whiteboard in Non-Projected mode with dry-erase markers and save your notes.
Caution
Check your interactive whiteboard’s installation guide for more information before writing on it with dry-erase markers. For example, don’t write on an interactive whiteboard if it has an OptiPro surface. OptiPro surfaces are optimized for use with Projected mode.
Your SMART interactive product is an input device like a mouse or touch pad. You can change your SMART interactive product’s mouse and gesture settings to better suit how you and other users use your SMART interactive product.
You can connect multiple SMART interactive products to one computer. You can split the computer’s display over two or more SMART interactive products, or you can view some programs and windows on one SMART interactive product and other programs and windows on another SMART interactive product.
If you’re splitting or stretching a computer display across multiple SMART interactive products, you must change SMART hardware settings appropriately.
Important
Complete the procedure below only if asked to do so by SMART Support.
You can edit SMART hardware settings to change your SMART interactive product’s axis. When you change the axis, the orientation of your SMART interactive product changes from horizontal (landscape) to vertical (portrait) mode or vice versa.
Note
You may also need screen-rotation software to rotate the portrait image so that it fits correctly on the screen.
You can view SMART hardware information and settings, including serial numbers and firmware versions.
